Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'

Welcome to the message board for tadwilliams.com. All comments are welcome, whether kudos or brickbats. However, please bear in mind that Tad would like this to be a friendly, civil message board, at least in the relations between users. We reserve the right to remove postings, or even ban postings, from anyone who crosses the boundary of reasonable taste. Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

But the main requirement here is: have fun.

Re: Infinity's

Man, the lengths I went to get a latte this morning.. sometimes I wish the transit system could just all interconnect like the TTC boasts it does. Or that they'd build a Second Cup closer to my work. Either way. ;)

Re: Infinity's

Loredana - I understand, totally. There's three free-standing Starbucks within driving distance of my office and I remember one morning, the first one, the espresso machine was broken - there was issues at the secon store - finally headed across town (about 10 minutes) to the third one.

Some mornings, when you gotta have a latte, you just gotta have it! *grins*

Re: Infinity's

Oh man, I remember things like that happening back when all I drank (during the summer, at least) were iced caps. Those machines would break down all the time. And being without a car, imagine my enthusiasm to trek around hindered by multiples busses and their random schedules just for a i-cap.

But you're right. We do it anyway. That doesn't make us addicts, though! We just want our way. ;)

Tea rulz.

My new laptop is being shipped to me. I hate waiting. And the poor little thing, who knows how it'll be treated.

Re: Infinity's

*dances*

I think I did well on my final yesterday.  ANd I got 3 more library visits out of the way (only 2 to go and they're scheduled for this week).  Had a great talk with the lady in charge of HR for the public libraries - she figures with my current degree (MA in history) - that if I just take some of the library cataloging courses that I should be able to get a job either with her or the school board without finishing the 2 year program.

It was the best news ever.  I mean, we'll see if that's the reality, but just the possibility that this might be an easier transition than I thought... and that my degree is worth something after all.  Well ~

*celebrates*
