Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'

Welcome to the message board for tadwilliams.com. All comments are welcome, whether kudos or brickbats. We reserve the right to remove postings, or even ban postings, from anyone who crosses the boundary of reasonable taste. Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

Re: Infinity's

We had a few wicked thunderstorms here last evening. I don't know what the fire count will come to, but we had most of the town without power for a long time (four hours here) and there are still parts without power today. A bunch of poles, lines and trees came down. The lightning came in colours. Pink, purple, orange. Wicked.

Re: Infinity's

Sounds like a cool storm Jen!  We didn't get anything - I really thought we would.  They're saying we're under a storm watch but I don't see any thunderheads around.

Could use some rain  - just for today & tomorrow though *g*

Re: Infinity's

It rained for a while last night. Don't know if it was enough to make a difference, though. I'll hafta wait til this afternoon, when the government fire site is updated.

Re: Infinity's

Can you send me/post the link Jen?  Sounds like a website I'd be interested in...  I can add it to my list of daily disaster sites to check - like the Recent California Earthquake site that I seem to have become addicted to....

It's here.

It's only for B.C. but you live close enough that you get smoke from our fires on occasion.

Re: Infinity's

We're still under the same watch, too.  I still don't see any thunderheads out there - mind you I'm stuck in a windowless office so they might be right above my head *g*

They've changed our Saturday forecast to 27C - plenty warm enough for an afternoon of kids & sprinklers *g*  Just what I wanted.

Re: Infinity's

We had a wicked storm yesterday evening - lots of lightening, hail & flooding in some parts of the city.  It was fun.  My daughter & I went out to do some shopping in the middle of it & got totally soaked wherever we went ~ but it was a warm rain so it felt good.

There's a picture of the flooding on the right side of the page.

*giggles at Calesta's addiction to disaster web sites*

Perhaps you should check out the Center for Disease Control and pandemicflu.gov!

*floats in the pool*

My eldest started swim classes yesterday and other than continuously reminding his teacher that he DID NOT want to put his head in the water, he had a lot of fun.
