Re: Gripe of the Day! The Rant List!
Ok, so this isn't an actual gripe or rant, per se, more of like a plea for help but uhh I dunno where else to put it, save making my own topic.. but oh well... here goes...
So over the past few months I've been making certain... confessions of a sort... to a very dear friend of mine. Anonymously, though, always hiding under the guise "I have this friend..." I don't know whether she's caught on or not; if she has, she hasn't said anything. Anyway, these admissions, confidences, whatever, have a slightly sordid theme to them. Nothing blatantly sexual in nature, but enough "ick" factor to just be... yeah. There've only been 2, really. Whenever I tell her one of these things, it always ends up being "that's very very illegal" or "definitely qualifies as harrassment." (For reference, I'm not the one doing the illegal activities / harrassment.. it's people doing these to me....) My problem here is.... she tells me these things, and says I should, well my friend should, go to an authority and have it dealt with, since these things don't sound like things that just talking with this other person would fix. But... I don't know who to go to, and even if I did, I'm petrified out of my skin of doing anything. Yes, maybe what these people are doing qualifies as illegal, but they're so close to me... I don't know what to do, and I'm afraid to do anything... help...

Oh dear, Ad1tu! *huggles* *echos what Em said* There are lots of resources online too, you should be able to search for support/advice specific to your situation.

Oh Ad1tu...*huggels*...do try to seek help. There are lots of people out there that can help....even a guidance counseler at school, maybe that would be less frightening? And there´s hotlines too...
Do be careful with the online thing though...
*huggles again*

Re: Gripe of the Day! The Rant List!
Computers...! i bought a new one about a month ago, and now it just keeps freezing every few minutes! Several people have tried to find a reason for that, and nobody can find anything. Now we had to take it back to the shop to be repaired and I suppose I won't see it for a month. I'm so fed up with internet cafes!!!

Re: Gripe of the Day! The Rant List!
Algebra!!!! Grrr... I hate it. I hate it. So, I just had my first day of my new math class, and the only thing I even vaguely remember is foiling. The rest of the topics covered on the first day are things I either: 1)never knew 2)have completely forgotten.
Eight more weeks of this crap. And I don't even have the book yet. :(

Re: Gripe of the Day! The Rant List!
Hehe, our calc teacher this year taught an algebra 1 class right before us, so the notes would sometimes be left up on the board... somedays, we just knew the lesson was going to be real hard, and we'd beg him "can't we do what's already up on the board??" (of course that never worked, but we had to try!!)

Haven't you ever noticed that weather is always like that? It always turns bad on weekends or during holidays...

Try to pretend you want rain. Always works for me ;)

Re: Gripe of the Day! The Rant List!
Maybe I should try pretending I don't want to have my bookshelf repaired, that I love having the books lying around on the floor... Over two weeks now and nothing has been done. It's so difficult to find the right moment to ask my father to do something. And also we want to get two small chests of drawers to put under the bookshelf, to support it, but it's damn difficult getting them without a car. I was in all shops that I could reach by bus today (and my feet really hurt now!) and I can't find what I want. So a long trip by bike will be necessary.
