Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'

Welcome to the message board for tadwilliams.com. All comments are welcome, whether kudos or brickbats. However, please bear in mind that Tad would like this to be a friendly, civil message board, at least in the relations between users. We reserve the right to remove postings, or even ban postings, from anyone who crosses the boundary of reasonable taste. Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

Re: Infinity's

It was sooooo cold here last night - our windchill was around -30C, the wind was coming straight out of the north and it was unpleasantly cold.  My son has an ear infection so of course we were out in it, trying to get him better.  bleargh.

This morning it was -21 out.  I can't wait for the chinook to get here ~ 24 hours & we should be up to 0.

Re: Infinity's

Not nearly so cold here, only -13 this morning. At least we still have our snow. I seriously don't want a chinook. Sometimes they bother us, sometimes they don't. Lets hope this one doesn't change my weather at all.

I can't stay either, but I really wanted to just say thanks for my christmas cards, Jen and Calesta.
It's been a grotty week, but I opened them up last night and it really cheered me up.

Thanks :)

Re: Infinity's

Busy today, too. I had to go to town twice. Urgh. Tired. At least I got another pretty card to go with my first two pretty cards. :)

Kinda icky day for me, too.  Sometimes life is just strange & weird.  I don't respond to that well.  I need more social skills or something.

*hides under couch*

At least its warm here - the chinook came last night - woke up & it was -1.

Re: Infinity's

I am making a lovely little mess out of everything I touch this month.

Can I hide in here until January comes?

I have to say, I didn't realise trying to find a ski jacket would be so.....frustrating. Two shopping days and I still haven't bought one. I'm confused and confuddled. I want one that's waterproof and more importantly really warm, but light and not down.

Re: Infinity's

Every day brings January a little closer. It's become a mantra this month.

Got your card, Jen. It's the second on the right, like Neverland's star.

And with January comes a New Year. And a whole new start!

Is it too early to start making resolutions?

Re: Infinity's

It's actually a new start for me in two ways, this New Year. I know most people don't count days this way, but the new moon is on New Year's Eve.

Fresh start all the way around. I'll be at the beach again this year, surrounded by excellent friends, and I'll start the year the way I intend to see it through. :)

Re: Infinity's

Sounds like excellent way to start the New Year. I'd love to be out of town during New Year's Eve. At some beach somewhere *sigh*.

But then I remember last year's Boxing day and New Year's Eve and the thought fizzles!

Still! I have goals for 2006 and this New Year's Eve will be very special indeed for me for that very purpose. P'raps I'll light a candle, and write a poem.
