Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'

Welcome to the message board for tadwilliams.com. All comments are welcome, whether kudos or brickbats. However, please bear in mind that Tad would like this to be a friendly, civil message board, at least in the relations between users. We reserve the right to remove postings, or even ban postings, from anyone who crosses the boundary of reasonable taste. Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

But the main requirement here is: have fun.

Ooo, and yay for Jen and negotiated writing time! Way to go! :)

And Calesta: best luck with the chiropractor. Back and hip pain no fun. I hope the adjustments help! :)

Re: Infinity's

Woke up to -25 temps with a wind chill of -35.  Can you imagine my crabbiness?

At least the kids didn't have school today so it was off to the babysitters where I know they'll be inside & warm all day (not that they would have had outdoor recess at school on a day like today).  I just like knowing they are warm & toasty.

Ye-ikes, that's cold! Just thinking about it cooled me down a degree or two ;)

Crabbiness not only understood, but mandatory! *g*

oh, good grief.

Winter's back in Canada.
I drove to Montreal today to the british food import store and got caught in the snow storm - thankfully not in any of the pile ups though.
I was driving my husbands new car and all I could think was 'please don't let me wreck it!'
The things I'll do for a packet of plain chocolate McVities!!!!!

Yay Jen - good for you!! Glad to hear the writing's going well.

Re: Infinity's

Yurg.  Freezing rain is no fun.

Aside from all the obvious bad things about it, it makes work VERY VERY boring.  It's amazing how fast you get all your tasks done with NO customers around to interrupt you.  I polished a lot of silver and dusted a lot of shelves...

Re: Infinity's

Yay for you Jen for setting up your writing times!  I'm sure your household will be much happier for it (hopefully anyway).

Yikes AJ!   - I heard about all of your snow out there!  I feel like a baby for whining about our weather (Oh poor me!  2 days of winter!  Oh the horror!) - at least there was no snow & is supposed to break by tomorrow.

Went out to see  Brokeback Mountain last night.  I think I'm still trying to process what I thought.

Re: Infinity's

We have a -26 windchill. Cold. I like it, though. It'd be nicer withought the sun, but hey. :)

Re: Infinity's

Yeah, well, I'm just starting. You know what's that's like, you have all these ideas and momentum.  *Hopefully* I'll have another chapter today. It's all pretty bad stuff, very first-drafty. But that's cool. :)

Re: Infinity's

Ideas and Momentum : both good things. I've finished 500 words and that is all I can write for now. Being sick and delusional may be the root of slowness.

*sips tea*

*is snuggled*

its warming up outside - -15 now, which feels balmy after the -35 windchills of yesterday.

We're off to the in-laws for the weekend.  *sigh*  I'd rather stay home & sleep.

It helped me get through the day.  Which is, luckily, almost over.  Off to the chiropractor & then a ringette game.  *sigh*  Done with work but no chance for rest just yet :)

I think you in the west have had it a lot worse than my area this year, Calesta.
It's been the strangest winter here - really mild temperatures, but when it's snowed it's come down so fast. and freezing rain. I hate freezing rain. It just took me an hour to chip off the wind sheild so I can go to the airport tonight to pick up hubby.

Well heres wishing you a warmer weekend :)

I'm so tired today I can hardly think. Ow. And today is a day I can use for writing all day becuase my husband is at work. *sigh* I may have to go lie down.

Re: Infinity's

It's kinda cool here, too. Not quite cold, really. Or at least not Stupid Cold as my husband calls it. Only -5c for a high temp. Bright and sunny, it was. :)
