Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'

Welcome to the message board for tadwilliams.com. All comments are welcome, whether kudos or brickbats. However, please bear in mind that Tad would like this to be a friendly, civil message board, at least in the relations between users. We reserve the right to remove postings, or even ban postings, from anyone who crosses the boundary of reasonable taste. Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

*doesn't quite no why she's prancing*

*or why this night is wonderful*

oh! guesswhatguesswhat! i actually had a conversation with the guy i'm horribly in like with! *feels special* okay that sounds worse than it is. we're friends but he's in third year in some engineering program so whenever i'm at his house it's to see his roomies since he's studying and now he's only working on saturdays and refuses to go out at all. evil university! *shakes fist at higher education*

oh my yes ;)

he's this really weird mix of indian-german-irish-french-english-some eastern european countries-another more eastern eastern country who all seem to come from nova scotia or something. it's really very confusing, but he has that absolutely gorgeous indian look.

Sounds positively swoon-worthy.  And an engineer-to-be, you say?

Okay, I approve. Go forth and be in like with said cute guy!

Shads, are you sure you're not thinking of the big or little dipper?  I dunno how Orion could look like a saucepan...  If he was upside down wouldn't his "sword" just look more like a tie?

Apparently the moon is upside down from down there as well.  Very interesting.  Oh, and apparently you guys get the most amazing view of stars, especially the Milky Way (which I have sadly never seen), so I think I'll have to head down there and visit you. :)

*wanders in*

It was such a gorgeous fall weekend up north...  sky was a steely grey blue with the bright orange and yellow leaves against it - just breathtaking.  And the air was all clean and crisp.  Kids ran around outside like crazy, it was great.  Tried really hard not to let my in-laws ruin it for me.  Some moments were more successful than others (as usual).

Re: Infinity's

It was a lovely weekend here to - i started putting the garden to bed, but I can't bring myself to chop down the rudenbekia yet as it's still flowering.

I caught up with Infinity's and now I'm well annoyed at Shads boss and a little wary of Jen's boss (the thought of working with someone who reminds me of my mother is a bit unsettling to me!)

OK, I leave on Friday and Infinity's was on pag 10 of the last incarnation.  And now you guys are on pg 3 of the new incarnation!

Sheesh!  *wonders what she missed....*

:)

Hello all!  I had a very very busy weekend and was quite tired each night after putting my son to bed, but all in all it was enjoyable and productive!  Its amazing what I can get done when my husband isn't around!

*bats eyelashes at Infinity*

ok, there I've got my bit in!

In other news, we sized my son's feet this weekend so I could see if I shoudl get him new shoes.  The little monster is wearing a size 9 (toddler) now!  I swear last week it was a size 7!  He's only 2!  His feet are bigger than those of most three year olds we know!

Re: Infinity's

My son is like the tiniest kid in the world.  He now fits perfectly into 18 month size stuff & his feet are a 5. I think he's only about 23lbs.  But he's super healthy & eats all the time & runs around all the time, too....  so I don't worry too much about the fact that he's a little shrimp.

My son has been 95th percentile all his life.  We thought he was such a tiny baby, until we saw him next to the other babies in the nursery!
