Re: The Grand Illusion

I'd like to send a message to J.J. Abrams, saying something along the lines of, "don't tell us that you're going to give us lots of answers when in fact you give us something along the lines of no answers at all".  That said, it WAS a good episode, but I really was hoping for at least a FEW answers.

Re: The Grand Illusion

That was some season end Alias had, wasn't it? It looks like we're heading for some serious tangled webs.

I'm not sure I like what happened on Lost and where what happened might be heading. Oh, well.

Can't wait for the next season to start . . .

EXCEPT . . .

I'm really, really, really annoyed the networks have put Veronica Mars and Lost on opposite each other. That constitutes cruel and unusual punishment.

As for next year's programming... the only thing that catches my eye is a comedy about a restaurant with Xander from Buffy, Will from Alias, and Harold from Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle.  (Nicholas Brendon, someguy, and John Cho)  That sounds like an interesting show just from the cast...

Kitchen Confidential, yes?

That's from a book of the same name by Anthony Bourdain.  Quite an entertaining book, if you like food/ restaurants.  He also has his own show on food.tv called A Cook's Tour, but it was Kitchen Confidential that made him a 'star'.

As for Lost, it can do no wrong IMO.  Not many answers, but much intrigue.

Re: The Grand Illusion

I would have liked a few more answers out of Lost - but although I knew the blip on the radar couldn't be good I had no idea that Rousseau's statements were leading up to that ending...  I loved it.  Hate that we have to wait so long for more to happen.  *sigh*

And Alias - once I let go of the ridiculousness of it I kind of liked the whole Zombie theme.  The ending I assume will let Syd be in a coma for however long it takes Jen Garner to birth and recover from the baby while we delve into the secret life of Michael Vaughn.

Does anyone know if we have to wait until January again for Alias?

Re: The Grand Illusion

I agree!  I totally was not expecting that ending on Lost!  And who are they?  And why?

possible spoilers, spoilers, spoilers!  Be warned!

And what was with that... spirity kinda thinger zipping through the forest? Weird...   Oh!  And I've missed episodes so I was also wondering if in the past Locke's wheelchair thing had been explained or if this was the first time they've shown it?  If it was explained before could someone tell me what happened there?  I was rather confused and not sure if I should be or had just missed something.

I'll deffinetly be eagerly waiting for the new season!

Re: The Grand Illusion

Flupi, Locke's wheelchair thing was never explained.  He wasn't always paralyzed, but he was before he got on that plane.

I saw some cast interviews that indicated the Lost gang would be sort of separating into two camps, but the ending left me feeling like it was Locke vs. everybody else.  Did you guys feel like that, too?

And DAMN JJ for that Alias ending.  That's almost as bad as last season, with Sydney reading stuff from a vault and crying - but we had no idea what it was.

Does anyone else read the Watch With Kristin column at E! Online?  She's an Alias and Lost freak, too, so sometimes you get some really good dish up front.

Now, what am I going to do with my time for the next 4 months?  No Veronica Mars, no Alias, no Lost...

Oh good, glad I wasn't just out of the loop on the wheelchair thing. :)

*fidgets*

Is it time for the next season to start yet? :D

Re: The Grand Illusion

ABC has left fans a hint of what’s to come on the second season of Lost at http://Oceanic-Air.com. The site for Oceanic Flight 815 in the series has a hidden Flash teaser that you can now watch.

To do so, click on the link above. Then at the bottom of the site, where it says ‘Travellers’, type in Hurley’s “lucky” numbers 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42. Click on ‘Find’ which will take you to the flight’s seating chart. Next, click on those numbers again in order right below the chart and the teaser will start.

Re: The Grand Illusion

There are trailers for a new show from the States on german TV now. Name's "taken".

What do you think about it?

Is it worth giving it a try?

American series I currently watch (to give you an idea what I like) are: Desperate housewives, lost & Battlestar Galactica.

Re: The Grand Illusion

Ylvs,
i watched it when it was on and quite liked it. It's basically about alien abductions....i don't want to give too many details and spoil it for you if you watch it, though.

edited to add;- I also like Battlestar Galactica and Desperate housewives, if that helps   ;)

Re: The Grand Illusion

Excellent link ~ thanks Seith!  I can't wait for fall...

I missed the first ep of Veronica Mars last week - anyone want to give me a summary of the pilot?  Hopefully I'll remember to watch this Monday.

Re: The Grand Illusion

That was a neat link.  The "discarded" page from the script was interesting as well...
