Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'

Welcome to the message board for tadwilliams.com. All comments are welcome, whether kudos or brickbats. However, please bear in mind that Tad would like this to be a friendly, civil message board, at least in the relations between users. We reserve the right to remove postings, or even ban postings, from anyone who crosses the boundary of reasonable taste. Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

But the main requirement here is: have fun.

Tour question...

Well, I was in my local (Madison, WI) Barnes&Noble today, and, to my surprise, I saw a notice announcing that Tad Williams would be there on Nov. 10 on his Shadowmarch book tour.

Naturally, I'm excited--this'll be the first time I've had a chance to meet a favorite author.  I just have a couple questions for you, Tad: First, do you know exactly what you'll be doing?  Will it mostly just be a signing, or will there be some Q&A or other such stuff as well?  Also, will you just be signing Shadowmarch, or can I lug my MST hardcovers over as well?  Thanks, and I look forward to attending!

They don't seem to have me anywhere south of the Mason-Dixon this time, sadly.  At least, not outside of California.

Other than measuring the sentimental value of Tad's signature, you should also measure the artistic value of his cool handwriting. It's really cool...

Heh.  Shorten it however you like--Suuran, Songyboy, SS...or just Sean, my real name.  I'll sign that if you like.

Thanks!

Hm that would mean he'd have to come south wouldn't it?
Hey Tad the Mason-Dixon line was originally the  Border between Pennsylvani and Maryland, which means that, accorindly, everything else is fair game...8) So when can we expect you in Texas again?  *grin*

Ah...behold the power of the internet!

Re: Tour question...

Tad and everyone,

it's been a long, long time since I have visited and posted on this site.  I remember coming here alot in the aftermath of 9-11.  I never acheived a full membership (Just lurked) nor did I ever get around to writing an article on the Shadowmarch experiance, it was a great sanctuary during that time.

Are you coming to the Midwest during your tour (specifically Ann Arbor/SouthEast Michigan)?  Is there a section here that is a general news forum for signings?

Darn, my friend just moved away from there.  Would have been perfect for lodgings... ;)

Just think of the educational value of a trip to Canada, Tad!  The Tadpoles would at the top of their classes...  They'd be more polite, too!  I really think you should lean on your publishers to set you up with a cross-Canada family tour.

Re: Tour question...

Damn! And me still in the South. ~sulk~ I will happily drive for long distances, however, if it'll get me a Tad reading. Muaha! I suspect I'd even be willing to cough up a hoarded vacation day if needed.
