Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'

Re: Infinity's

*sadhorrified*

One of my neighbours just cut down a beautiful *huge* red maple tree. I saw it happen. I feel like I've just seen an animal get run down or something. It's just awful. The poor thing is lieing there on it's side. Does it even know it's dead? I have a strong urge to go and hurt the person who did this. Why would they do something like that? It was so lovely. The poor tree.

Aw, god.

*cries*

Re: Infinity's

Especially pet trees that live in people's yards.

I think I'd feel the same if he pulled his dog out into the yard and shot it.

Re: Infinity's

:(

I know what you mean, Jen.  I feel the same way.  The property manager of our town house units has had all our trees trimmed.  They were supposedly supposed to be trimming branches so they didn't touch houses anymore.  Which I could sorta understand... But they've cut off ALL the lower branches.  All the way around!  So it's just a tall stick with branches at the top!  I was horrified!  It looks stupid for one thing, and the poor trees!  There was nothing wrong with all those branches!  They even did the pine tree by the parking lot!  Why??  They're nowhere near houses, and all they really needed to do was prune a couple branches on the sidewalk side!  Ugh.

Re: Infinity's

Yuck, Flupi. People treat trees horribly.

I now have to listen to my neighbour dismember the poor thing.

Re: Infinity's

*waves hey*  ~ having a lovely 3 day weekend, us....  I so wish I could live a life of leisure...  's not to be though.

shame on the people who cut down the tree.  unless they were worried about it falling over on people cause of weak roots or something, but if they just did it because then I hope  they have some equal karma coming their way....

my new neighbor cut down just a small, but very bushy tree in their backyard & 'm very afraid that the look of horror on my face may have strained relations already.  I just couldn't help it ~ I'm not very good at covering.
