It's always a good idea to know where your towel is. I suppose on one's head is as good a place as any.

My Wockies can take you out any time...*flexes*
Oh. I miss having pets. I really do. And this cat is so soft and sleek and it's a chatty cat...'s purring like a badly tuned motor and then starts yowling when I stop petting.
*sniffes*
I miss pets. I miss their company. And we're renting.

Re: Late night bitching
My cat of 16 years died last night in her sleep. Isn't that sad?
Her name was Hi-yo. As in Hi-Yo Silver. (she was gray).
I know ... sniff, sniff. Sad, sad. But you're the one, brought up pets.

G'night Kehvain...
'm sorry Tristan...my dog Tim I had t' leave in Melbourne when I moved up here...he's a grumpy old man now, but I love him t' death...'m always terrified he'll die before I get to have one more visit down and see him...I feel for you...
've never really lived with a cat...so I don't know what they're like as friends...
They probably smell better than dogs though.

Hey, I was the first member. That makes me an addict. Trust me. I feel far more ashamed than you'll EVER feel about this board.

Actually I'm a dog person, myself. It's just that my dog didn't die. I feel like I'm dishonoring my cat by saying I'm a dog person though.

*crooked smile*
I don't think a cat would think a dog much competition anyway.
Tim is a mongrel. Just like me. The pet shop said he was a fox terrier cross...yeah right.

WHOA! You're number 7! How did you manage that? You're up there with the hierarchs. I'm exactly 500 behind you. Yes, and how did I manage THAT... ugh, I'm so disgusted. I'm like an addict failure. I mean a Taddict failure. Jiriki, I look up to you, I do.

Re: Late night bitching
Really sorry to hear about Hi-Yo, Tristan. We lost a beloved (much younger) cat just a short while back. It doesn't matter how old they are. It still hurts.

It's sure quiet around here this weekend.
It was also Father's Day today (in the US.) That's what I was doing from the time I got up until about 10pm at night, so it didn't leave a lot of time for visiting the board.

Re: Late night bitching
Is anyone still here? I'm going to turn this into an early morning bitching (yes, I HATE Mondays).
Talking about the loss of pets ... It's true, it hurts so much. We had four cats but when he had to move from our house to a rented flat (due to problems with our relatives and a heritage thing) we couldn't take them with us. They stayed with the new owners of the house but they could as well be dead. I loved them from the bottom of my heart (especially one called Moritz, a wonderful black as night tom cat who chose me as the person responsible for his daily needs), and it still brings tears to my eyes when I think about them. I would love to have a pet but I can't leave it alone all day.

Re: Late night bitching
On the other hand, Garcia, I've been pulling the four month old kitten off the screen doors all night.
Little bugger's chasing bugs, and it's hot here and we'd love to have the doors open, but he's ruining the screens so I finally gave up and shut all the doors and windows again.
So there's always a downside to everything.
(Plus the wee monster bit my toe while I was watching television earlier. Bloody cat.)

Re: Late night bitching
Haha, I know ... and that's what makes them so loveable. They always do what you don't want them to do, they tease you and wake you up early in the morning because they're hungry (or pretend to be).
I wish I had a cat that would bite my toes. *sighs*

Re: Late night bitching
My visitor cat climbed halfway up our screen door just before. It was rather startling t' pull back th' curtain and be face t' face with this inquisitive, pushy cat.
