Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'
-    Kurt Vonnegut, 1922-2007

Welcome to the message board for tadwilliams.com. All comments are welcome, whether kudos or brickbats. However, please bear in mind that Tad would like this to be a friendly, civil message board, at least in the relations between users. We reserve the right to remove postings, or even ban postings, from anyone who crosses the boundary of reasonable taste. Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

But the main requirement here is: have fun.

QM - Sledgehammer Room

*walks in*

*grabs a sledgehammer*

*walks out*

*sounds of crashing and bashing and general grinding of metal emanate from the next room*

*walks in*

*returns sledgehammer*

Computer's fixed!

*distributes smiles all around*

*walks out*

Re: QM - Sledgehammer Room

Heh - do you mean feeling better as in not coughing my guts up anymore, or feeling better as in the catharsis of beating the computer to a pulp?  :)

Healthwise I'm fine and dandy now.  Computer-wise... well... I think I'm just gonna leave it alone for the weekend or I really WILL have a hissy fit and take a hammer to it.

Well, there was all that hacking and sniffling I did in DC.

I have the non-Midas touch with electronic equipment - everything I lay my hands on eventually goes bad.  <G>

Jaime: Perhaps its a strange link with your electronic equipment, because youre feeling unwell (getting over feeling sick) your poota feeds off that and gets sick too.. stranger things have happened. What was the problem with the monitor in the end?

btw.. where does one acquire a sledgehammer for those of us who have never bought one before....

I would try the hardware shop or a building supply store.

*bounces around the mint*

Sounds like a plan Jaime, I still haven't gotten my computer running properly. XP, drivers, disagreeing video cards.. blah... I like the sledgehammer solution myself!

Re: QM - Sledgehammer Room

This is going to sound weird, but I do notice that everything around me seems to feel the same way I do. My pets, my car, my computer. My dog seems lacadasical and depressed when I do, and bouncecs around and gets excited about walks when I'm in the mood to go out. (Of course, I usually have something in mind other than the alley, but okay.)

My car is frustrated and anxious these days, I can tell. It has an uncertain future, and is taking its anxiety out by being rowdy and loud.

Anyone see that Nev passing through here?

*swishes whip in practicing sort of way*

* disappears again*

*re-appears again*

It took a lot of those 900 to get back down to 4 stars you know, Kehv. I should be at three, but they don't seem to allow that....
