Thor: Ragnarok

I have seen the new Thor last night, and I must say that I enjoyed it very much. It is truly a grand spectacle. There is some uncanny valley CGI (especially with Hela), but all in all a very fun film.

However, the tone is much, much different from the first two Thor movies. It is much more Guardians of the Galaxy like and jokes and funny one-liners abound.

Re: Thor: Ragnarok

Thanks for the report, Olaf!
Heard this was going to be more humorous. Guess I'll watch it eventually, but no hurry for me.

Re: Thor: Ragnarok

Heard good things about it from a friend, though I will almost certainly not watch it before it is out on BD. I was not very fond of Thor 2 (in fact it's the bottom tier of the MCU for me, along with Iron Man 2, The Incredible Hulk and Ant-Man), so this will be interesting.

Re: Thor: Ragnarok

For me, it is certainly the best of the THOR movies, but YMMV on that. For sheer fun factor it is on par with Guardians of the Galaxy 1, but it is not a good stand-alone movie, because a lot of the fun relies on references to previous movies.
