Holiday Card Exchange 2017

It is time again for our annual holiday card exchange (copied from Sahi's opening post for 2016):

As there are some new members around, here are the rules:

1. PM me your address before Dec 1st (so don't post them publicly in this topic)*
2. receive the address list on Dec 1st
3. send everyone on the list a holiday card
4. don't share the addresses with anyone who's not on the list

* To be clear, PM me (not Sahi)

Thank you for taking charge of it, cyan!

No need to thank me, Magpie.  You and Sahi took charge of this for the past several years and I thank YOU BOTH for doing so.  As River said to Simon, "My turn."  ;-)

It is not the awesomest show ever. That honor goes to a different Whedon series. But it definitely is awesome. And the movie is also wonderful.

Re: Holiday Card Exchange 2017

I think I've only seen Serenity. (And it didn't leave much information behind in my head.)

I don't think Serenity really works if you do not know Firefly.

Re: Holiday Card Exchange 2017

Yeah, I think you'd probably miss out on a lot in Serenity if you don't know Firefly. It's probably still ok, but nowhere near as awesome.

Also, *pushes topic back on track* I'm in!

Re: Holiday Card Exchange 2017

I saw Serenity well before I ventured into Firefly.  The only things I truly felt I missed out on by doing it backwards is (1) the dynamic between Inara and Mal and (2) the importance of Shepherd Book to the team (RIP Ron Glass).

Re: Holiday Card Exchange 2017

Okay, (3) the dynamic between Simon and Jayne and Mal, because of Ariel.

Haha! But I don't know what you have seen!

The series I'm talking about is Buffy, Whedon's greatest series ever. Rolling Stone confirms it.

I had to view Serenity after Firefly, as I was sworn to watch them in the correct order.

Re: Holiday Card Exchange 2017

And thus a thread about exchanging holiday cards morphed into a discussion of Whedon-verse.

This is why I love Smarch!

I'm in as well.... But going to be cheap homemade cards this year as I'm very poor....

And I would take Firefly over Buffy any day.... Although I love Buffy as well.... A lot....

Thank you Libra. I aim to misbehave.

I finally bought the first series on ebay. Am afraid I will be disappointed.
