Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'

Ooo, I would love to see that window display!

Diorna, congratulations on registering! I'm pretty lurky myself. Lörrach is too far out of the way for me (I have a little baby), but can we convince you to come to Kassel?

I am tempted, since my family lives close by. ;) We will see.
The reading in Lörrach is such a cool thing, I still can't get over it! And they are such nice people!
I have not seen the display yet, but I hope, it is still there next week, when I have time to take a look.

Re: Tad coming to Germany in October 2017

*crossing fingers belatedly*

Hey sweetlings! Oh my lovely, lovely dear friends.

The Berlin reading will be in my walking distance, so there I will be.

I would, though make it happen that I come to another one, too, for a proper Moot.

Who of you will be there in Berlin, though, tell me that?
Olaf just said.
Peter, my friend, couldn't you come? We do have airports, you know.
We could go out and talk, and talk, and talk, and you could pay for some of my wine :P :D and I could show you my kietz, and we could have tee and Pasta at my place (you don't have a cat allergy, do you?) - HEALTHY delicious Pasta, my friend, oh won't you come?

Olaf, same for you. We may not be in the habbit of talking quite so long about our lives, and you might wanna visit acquaintances, but it would be so SO great to sit in Cafés with you and walk from here to there and have you here at home for chatting. Say!

*hops up and down*

Re: Tad coming to Germany in October 2017

Anyone else in Berlin?

It is lovely here, you know. If you know where. And I do know where.

There is btw a Hostel right aroud the block from my flat, if anyone doesn't need much comfort to sleep and would like to hang.

In any case, we should determine a meeting point and time, no matter how many we are.
We could of course only meet there, but if quite convenient I would LOVE to meet beforehand.

Re: Tad coming to Germany in October 2017

I am staying with a friend. And I will come for two or three days, not just for the reading. So, there should be time to hang out :-)

Re: Tad coming to Germany in October 2017

And ... not to nag (o let me), but ... shouldn't we fix an actual moot?
With when and where and which hotel and stuff? And if it really IS Kassel?
Or am I missing some more recent thread?
I know it's still two months, but ...

pleeeeeaase? Oolaaaf ...

Re: Tad coming to Germany in October 2017

I just bought tickets for Berlin and reserved tickets for Stuttgart. Ylvs already reserved ticket for Kassel, so I am all set for now. I might add more readings when the Dutch schedule is released:-)

Or I might add Hannover, but I am not sure.

Re: Tad coming to Germany in October 2017

That is a very cool display! They deserve to win.

We're almost there with our planning. We will arrive in Kassel on thursday and leave on sunday early-ish. Still need to book accommodation, though.

Re: Tad coming to Germany in October 2017

Polite to your fellow fans is probably one book, maybe two. But it's definitely not uncommon to bring a whole stack.

Personally, I prefer to bring one item to sign to remember the occasion by. (Meaning I don't have a whole lot of signed items in my house.)

Re: Tad coming to Germany in October 2017

I have booked my train tickets for Berlin on October 11th and my return ticket from Berlin to Kassel on the 13th. On the 13th I am taking the same train from Berlin as some of the other Smarchers I believe, namely the ICE from Berlin main station at 10:14 to Kassel....
