Honestly, Smarchmoots are much better off season. We just mostly want to hang out and enjoy each other's company. An empty bar or restaurant is the BEST!

Aaaannnd.. I am thinking about coming.

I was thinking about going to a Supernatural con in DC, but I could get airfare to Germany for about the same price! So if I CAN scrounge up the money... I've always wanted to go to Germany, and I MISS YOU GUYS.

*hopeful bounces, too*

I already have a bit of a cushion, which was going toward saving for a car... but I'm doing okay without a car, and I'd MUCH rather travel. So I think there's a 70% chance I can make it happen. :) Especially if I can stay with one of y'all!

Awesome, Marian! I did not think of any US-Smarchers coming over. Cool!
I'll definetly be in Hannover if Kassel will not happen and prolly Stuttgart as well because if he's there for longer he'll have proper time to hang out (he had the last two times he was there).

And Kia, to get a gist what Smarchmoots are like just check out some of the old thread in this forum. The moots always get more or less reported for all those who could not attend.

I would definitely join for Hannover and Kassel. I wouldn't mind Stuttgart either, since I haven't been there before.

Marian, it would great to meet you in person :-)

My very first moot! I already start to get nervous...(^____^);

Nervousness is normal, I suppose, but utterly unnecessary. :)

Yup it takes a moot or two to get over the nervousness. :)

I might be going to Hannover then. Haven't been there in a long while, much has changed since I studied there. Hope they still have all the cool fantasyshops and bookstores.

Also, I think if people from The Netherlands want to meet, this would be the best city to visit.

Re: Tad coming to Germany in October 2017

Long time lurker here :) Good to read that Tad's doing a tour in Germany, I was actually hoping he'd do that. I definitely plan to attend one of the events, probably the Hannover one and it'd be great to meet some of you. I had the pleasure to meet Tad and fellow boardie Olaf in Hamm way back in 2011, had a nice chat and got some books signed. Hopefully more events will be planned in the near future (perhaps one in Hamm again???).

So, there might be a reading in Kassel on 10/13. Not finalized but in serious planning stage.

Good to see you here:-)

Hamm is unlikely, as my bookstore was sadly closed at the end of 2015.

Great news about Kassel.
Since I have three weeks vacation in October, I might actually be at several of these readings.

Re: Tad coming to Germany in October 2017

Ok, Kassel is very much on. I have two interested bookstores. If the smaller backs out the bigger is happy to jump in. Date is set as said but please do not talk about it anywhere publicly yet as contracts are not yet signed and with the recent ruckus about the cover of TWC I am overcautious atm.

O.o.o. Marian as well?

So, okay I have committed to dog sitting from 2-16 October (why I ask myself, why??)

But that does mean I could possibly make the Dragon days event in Stuttgart.....

IIRC, Marian isn't coming after all because she is doing something else instead - I know she posted about what but I'm not sure now?
