Re: WorldCon 2017 in Helsinki

Don't forget, I have booked an appartment for 6 persons for August 7-14. So far I have on my list: magpie, Libra, cyan, ylvs and me and a friend of mine. Total price: € 2.528

(And again, if anybody has something cheaper, I can still cancel this free of charge until the 31st of July.)

Yes indeed, I have intentions of joining this fiasco! I certainly couldn't allow cyan to go off and have a party with all you fine people without me. Who would make sure her drink stays refilled?? Obviously, I must be there.

I have not yet purchased a membership or airfare or anything else, but cyan and I are planning to discuss this weekend and hopefully get things planned out. *nods*

Re: WorldCon 2017 in Helsinki

Well my Finnish friend might not have the money to join us, so there might be a place in the apartment. But it's really hard to tell at this point.

Re: WorldCon 2017 in Helsinki

I just learned that my Finnish friend might also still be able to stay at her father's house (he's trying to sell it, but so far hasn't). So let's just assume she's not staying with us, and in case she will turn out to stay, I'll just bring an air mattress along.

Re: WorldCon 2017 in Helsinki

No, I still need to do that. I only booked that appartment (and the WorldCon ticket itself) so far. I wanted to coordinate with the others traveling from the Netherlands, but due to being busy it has turned into postponing...

If Finnish friend's dad hasn't sold his house yet, maybe we could pay him for the honour of using it??

*grins evilly*

No flights booked yet... as I still don't know where I'll be!

Re: WorldCon 2017 in Helsinki

Should we set up a skype date to discuss flights? I know someone mentioned this before, but nothing came of it.

(My weekends are usually quite full now, but I'll try to make time.)

Re: WorldCon 2017 in Helsinki

Sounds like a great plan.

What wasthe most convenient time again? Then we can base the date on that.
