I try to eat breakfast around 7, but I'm often in a hurry, due to aforementioned snooze-button-hittery, and miss breakfast, so sometimes I have to get breakfast at werk. We have a really nice cafeteria, though. I guess especially in comparison to what we had years ago.

I have less and less time to eat breakfast lately because I just want to sleep a liiiitle bit longer. Sometimes I end up eating breakfast on the train.

A couple of days ago, I was lying in bed in the morning, and thought, "It's warm and soft and dark here, and those are all things that are associated with the mother goddess in my NaNo story, so hitting the snooze button is totally an act of worship and not laziness."

I had goldfish crackers and an energy bar for dinner last night at, like, 9:30. Oh, and a root beer. Ok, half a root beer.

And I'm about to shove a donut in my face, followed by a bagel in probably an hour (it's Bagel Friday at werk!)

*drinks 3rd mug of coffee*

I can't really call this behemoth a cup. When people ask me how much coffee I drink per day, I usually specify "mug" since this is definitely bigger than a cup. Though I'm also not sure which cup they'd be referring to. 'Cause isn't a standard cup 8oz, but a cup of tea or cup of coffee is 6oz, for whatever silly reason.

Yes. I am definitely procrastinating on working. :D

Re: The "get the board to 1000000 posts" thread

I have a colleague whose cup looks more like a bowl. Admittedly she only drinks tea in it, but still! I swear it's twice the size of my oat meal soup plate.

There's your problem! You're eating oatmeal from a plate!

I kid, I kid! I actually own one of those giant mugs that are so big they start looking like a bowl. I could totally eat oatmeal from it, in a pinch.

Oh, soup plate! I thought you said Sioux plate! That seemed oddly ethnic for a Fenno-Scandinavian.

I had to ask people what a soup plate was. I'd never heard of it and thought you were all crazy. Turns out it's a thing! As the former server educated me. lol

Re: The "get the board to 1000000 posts" thread

Soup plates, ramekins, chargers and tureens are terminology you come to know if, like me, you had to work in restaurants at any point in your life. When I was 19 and penniless, I scrubbed pots, cut veggies, mopped floors, and swept patios. The work was grueling, thankless, and mind-numbingly boring, but it kept me from homelessness. You definitely learn table lingo!

Well, I know what a ramekin is, and now I know what a soup plate is. But I got nothing on charger or tureen. Hmmm.

I knew turrin, because we have the same word (terrin)... charger was new though.

I've never worked in a restaurant but I knew what those were. They were all part of my mom's dinner service when I was young. Except for the charger. There weren't any of those. I have no idea why I know what a charger is. Maybe foody type magazines.

If I understand it correctly it's a fancy plate you put underneath the actual plates.
