The trailer is very impressive. Everything looks like I expect Tintin to look like. I actually grew up reading and enjoying Tintin in English. However, my mother is French-Canadian and she and her siblings grew up reading Tintin in its original French. Consequently when I was a boy, I had ample opportunities to enjoy their Tintin books as well. While I still mostly identify Tintin in English, reading my mother's books allowed me to see the material from a different perspective. For example, I have seen "The Black Island" in its original format in addition to its 1960's remake. Still, I did find it a bit strange to read Al Capone and everyone in Chicago speaking only French and nothing but French as showcased in "Tintin en Amerique" (Tintin in America.)
P.S. As for the movie itself, I plan to see it on Boxing Day.
