Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'

Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

But the main requirement here is: have fun.

Smarch the audiobooks

I'm very interested in your opinions on the audiobook.

I listened to the first two chapters and am kind of underwhelmed by the performancde of Dick Hill.
I will listen some more before a give a final judgement but am interested in other opinions.

Do you like it or don't you?

Re: Smarch the audiobooks

I listened to HISTORY IOF EOIN and the PREULDE today, and I have to say that I think Hill's performance is good, but not outstanding. There is always a hint of melodrama in his voice and if here were about to declamate something. Earlier today I listed again to the beginning of A GAME OF THRONES narrated by Roy Dotrice and I think that Dotrice's performance is superior, because he is going for a realistic reading. With Hill everything seems larger than life. But I suppose his reading will do.
