Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'
-    Kurt Vonnegut, 1922-2007

Welcome to the message board for tadwilliams.com. All comments are welcome, whether kudos or brickbats. However, please bear in mind that Tad would like this to be a friendly, civil message board, at least in the relations between users. We reserve the right to remove postings, or even ban postings, from anyone who crosses the boundary of reasonable taste. Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

But the main requirement here is: have fun.

Re: Austria Moot II

How awful it is that work always sort of knocks you right back into the insanity (because I'm so completely convinced that normality was had during the weekend)... And I must be super exhausted, because I can't even remember what happened on the plane back!! But the pictures of the sun setting are awesome!

I has pictures too, but have to wait with uploading them until Saturday, as I will then have the time to actually get the right ones uploaded!

Oh and next to extreme hospitality, it must be said that Magpie salad dressings (home made) rock majorly and if I ever become a miljonnair I shall fly her over every time I feel like salad!!!

Oh....

ROSE!!!

Re: Austria Moot II

*giggles and glances up at the lamp*

To think I never wanted to make the salad when I was helping my mother cook because I was worried I'd not get it right!
Cooking and eating is definitely much less fun now when I'm on my own again. And no explosions. So boring. And I think I need to put the games away somewhere I can't see them - seing the in the bookcase and having no-one to play with is very sad.

Also, I'm really glad we didn't do it next weekend - it just hit me that I'm actually going back to work next Tuesday, and I'm not sure I'd have been able to handle the first day back right after a moot.

Re: Austria Moot II

Hahahaha! Makes me wish I had pink paint!

First day back was OK, feeling just a little sore... but the day is suddenly very short now!

In other, slightly random, news, remember that little black-and-white goat? I now know she's called Valentina, because she was born on Valentine's day (the things you learn from idiotic newspapers lying around on the train...)

Re: Austria Moot II

It's OK - I'm way behind on all kind of things as well. Just wanted to make sure it hadn't been forgotten ... that's what always happens to my projects when they get buried under other stuff.

Re: Austria Moot II

With lots of sorries for the lateness.... here are the pictures of our Austria-moot! Not viewable for small children as it holds horrific images of snarling creatures that tried to eat us, and (supposedly) non-existing fairy-tale characters...

Re: Austria Moot II

Yay! Pictures!

By the way, I figured out the mysterious building - it's part of a ring all around Linz that was built by some Austrian emperor a few hundred years ago. I'd just gotten it mixed up with a different bit of primary school history - some of those towers are in the same place as earlier Roman buildings (those were really all on the south side of the river).
