Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'
-    Kurt Vonnegut, 1922-2007

Welcome to the message board for tadwilliams.com. All comments are welcome, whether kudos or brickbats. However, please bear in mind that Tad would like this to be a friendly, civil message board, at least in the relations between users. We reserve the right to remove postings, or even ban postings, from anyone who crosses the boundary of reasonable taste. Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

But the main requirement here is: have fun.

Well, Em, if your driving home I hope you're offskis. Driving whilst wearing skis is just plain dangerous.

Nyargh. I think I must stop reading newspapers. They can not spell. I had to stare for a minute before I understood what a "Chiwawa" was supposed to be.
And let's not talk about grammar.

Re: QM - SPQR

The day is moderately fine. Oracle would call me back on my exam, but sent an email instead telling me where to send an email with the question. Which I'll probably have to call them back upon. (Seeing how the American Oracle people seem to be so caught up in the merger, that they don't have time to respond to anything unless prodded.)

The recruiter got back to me to ask for more information. (Meaning I haven't been invited for a talk or rejected yet.)

But I've delegated something I couldn't solve to my boss. So that's something. (And he emailed me to say he'd have a look at it tomorrow.)

Re: QM - SPQR

Wow. After 4 hours of sleep and a loooong day and nearly falling asleep at work I just had a BURST of energy and did a load of laundry, the washing up and tidied my room a bit. That came out of nowhere and is now gone. dead tired now again. Spring rolls shall be had(late dinner..half past 9) and then off to bed-land.

*quick drive-by drop into mint*

Thanks everyone for the crosed bodyparts and well wishes... haven't heard anything yet, so I'm still fidgetty.... So I shall read a book and dive into another world....

By the way.... crickets are no fun to have in the house.... blerghhh....

Oh and Sahi, I shall send you that picture, but it's been taking me soooo long to do anything outside of work lately that I'm thinking this weekend should be dedicated to the making of that picture....

Re: QM - SPQR

Serious bit of writing done today, and nearly all my pictures backed up - that last file is taking about a million years, though.
