Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'

So-so. But everybody seems to have left all of a sudden. Hi, by the way.

Re: Quiller's Mint - The Laundry

I wouldn't add bleach if I were you, with a person in there it might give nasty chemical reactions or something.

Yalahii.

Re: Quiller's Mint - The Laundry

Hmmm.  Good point Sahi.  But, then again, wouldn't simply being in a washing machine cause some nasty reactions even without chemicals?

Hey now, what's this!  What am I thinking!  Applying little concepts like "reason" and "reality" to this pleasant fantasy!

I'll stop now.

*lets lian out of the washing machine.*

Carefull there!  You're apt to be a bit dizzy for a few minutes.  Do you want a nice, fresh, dryer-warm towel or should I just toss you into the dryer yourself?  (I assume "Gentle, Low-Heat" for the settings in the latter case?)

There you go!  And no need to be so defensive - turtles aren't terribly fierce.  Why, I haven't "vented my wroth" since the "great war" a little while back.  Even then, my wrath isn't that impressive.

Re: Quiller's Mint - The Laundry

Sorry lian!  Busy day at work here - a pile of Data Entry awaits.  So I do a little work, Smarch a while, do a little more work ... etc.  Like I said earlier: I'm sort of "in-and-out" ... my usual.

Not completely empty. I'm still lurking behind the mangler. I wonder why they've chosen a laundry in the first place. It's hot enough as it is. Now, an icehouse ...

Re: Quiller's Mint - The Laundry

I'm also slowly working on a name for my "Neighborhood" Area.  Thus far, the idea I've come up with that I like the best is:

The Book Cellar and Coffee Shoppe

Found in the basement of a largely ruinous tower.

This assuming that "Coffee" is known in Shadowmarch.  Perhaps it'll wind up being a Book Cellar (do note the pun: Seller/Cellar) and Chocolate Shoppe!

Cordially,

ElderTurtle (P.o.W.)
