Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'
-    Kurt Vonnegut, 1922-2007

Welcome to the message board for tadwilliams.com. All comments are welcome, whether kudos or brickbats. However, please bear in mind that Tad would like this to be a friendly, civil message board, at least in the relations between users. We reserve the right to remove postings, or even ban postings, from anyone who crosses the boundary of reasonable taste. Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

But the main requirement here is: have fun.

I just love having a legitimate reason to switch back and forth between languages in that story - I've decided I'll write the Austrian's group's POV in German and the international one's in English - with bits of other languages thrown in. Languages I don't actually speak, what fun!

Re: QM - The 80's

Seems my kleptomanic goblin has now moved to my best friend's place, and is stealing her CDs. And I still don't know where my notebook might have gone.

Re: QM - The 80's

Started to clean up my desk drawers. One drawer, and I'm already having one of my "GRAAARGH! Too much stuff!" fits.

My problem is, I can't throw away things that can still be used, even if I don't really have any use for them. I mean, five red ballpoint pens? I don't even use ballpoint pens, and red ones? Red ones?

Goodness. I hadn't known my three and a half months of unemployment last winter had created such a mountain of wastepaper! *jumps up and down in her wastepaper basket, trying to force it all in*

Re: QM - The 80's

I found my notebook. In a drawer where it absolutely didn't belong, and I have no memory of putting it there, or even opening it on the weekend when I lost it.

Obviously your kleptomanic goblin finished reading it....

That's a possibility...
He's also given back my batteries. Now if he'd give back the cap of my flash drive... Though I accidentally vacuumed up some larger object yesterday, and now I can't help thinking it must've been that cap...

Maen Mint!

Just a quick drop-by-post from downunder. Having lots of fun and burnt legs (from snorkeling).

Re: QM - The 80's

*waves*

Been busy and tired... shouldn't even be here, except that I'm trying to find out how my goblin managed to steal pictures that were supposed to be on the CD I sent in to get the pictures printed (we only got half the pictures we were supposed to get, and after checking the CD, all my mother's pictures aren't on it. Grrrr!)

Although, in this particular case, it could also be chizpurfles.

Sending in another CD tomorrow. Which means I have to wait another week or two.

Re: QM - The 80's

Bah. Don't wanna go to bed. But I have to. Have to get used to working whole weeks again, when I'd so much prefer to spend my days curled up in bed with books and hot chocolate, and pen and notebook for writing... or maybe buy myself a laptop after all... Is it wrong of me to be looking forwards to another winter of unemployment?
