*wavies*
I'm coughing and sneezing too- but as long as I'm not sick next week thursday I don't care(going to germany, visit friends and big intarwebz-peepz-meeting). Had quite the productive evening, did 2 loads of laundry, started to tidy my room, did the washing up, cooked, and made another Cthulhu.

Re: QM - The 80's
I'm considering taking Thursday and Friday off. I feel like such a slacker - I've only worked one full week this month - and I'm kind of afraid I'll never get used to working a full week again, but then again, there isn't a whole lot to do, I need to use up my vacation time, and I have lots of stuff to do at home that I just can't keep up with. Not if I only have too-short evenings and the weekends to do them.

Hurricane Earl is now a CAT 4, but looks like it will hit in North Carolina, not here.

*shoos Earl away from Em*
Took part of the afternoon off(it's raining, business was slow, no delivery) and was very productive again- changed my sheets, folded socks and did another load of laundry. *is a good girl*
Time to go read. Glen Cook is a master. Made me miss my stop twice already..

Re: QM - The 80's
I did take Thursday and Friday off. We'll see if I get anything done. Or if I just sit around waiting to catch the cleptomanic goblin that is stealing my things. (Seriously, I can't explain it any other way. Batteries. The cap of a flash drive. That notebook. There are no natural reasons why they should be missing.)

Good luck with your interview, Libra!
Looks like Earl will pass East of us, so yay! Fiona's not even gonna be a new miss. There's another red blob out there, just off the coast of Africa.

Corn on the cob - it was what was left in the fridge, and needed to be eaten. Also, it's yummy. But it takes so long!

Re: QM - The 80's
Interview was a definite miss..... couldn't even properly hear the guys.... and definitely not my kind of job, all cash collection... calling people to make them pay their bills... not really me... Gah, wish I could just get me the job of my dreams.... or win the lottery so I could spend the time studying and then getting the job of my dreams....

Heck, if I won lots of money at the Lottery, I would just become a scholar. No need for a job.

I'm just going to be extremely stubborn and apply to all non-profit functions that I see, making it clear that my letter of application can also be seen as a general application.... wanna get out of the commercial world and into somewhere I can do some good.... *sad frown*

Earl's gonna stay well East of us, wicked waves, bad riptides and currents, but otherwise, no impact here. Further North, the North Carolina outerbanks will be getting hit.
Fiona's not coming anywhere near.
Gaston's heading for Puerto Rico. Where he goes from there is anyone's guess. He's still too far out in the Atlantic to track.

Bro's got himself a girlfriend. I's happy for him, but it's complicated(loads of baggage, that girl has it). Also, i'm not used to someone else being in our flat so often and it's weird. Also, they cooked and didn't tell me, so I bought myself dinner after work. When I came home they were all "oooh, shame, you could have called!" WTF? Bro NEVER cooks(except when we plan something, and then I know about it), so why should I call and ask if there'll be food on the table? yeah, I am a bit miffed.

*giggles* I misread your post Sister and after I picked myself up off the floor, I re-read it and found out what it really said. It thought it said "... but it's complicated (loads of bagpipes, that girl has it). ..."

Utter weirdness today..... remember my screwed up interview yesterday? Recruiter called me today and told me they were very enthousiastic about the interview.... What???
Now I have complications..... pffff.... would have just been soooo easy if this had been a bad interview....

Sounds like a horrible job, harassing people for money they may (or may not) be able to pay.
