Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'

Welcome to the message board for tadwilliams.com. All comments are welcome, whether kudos or brickbats. However, please bear in mind that Tad would like this to be a friendly, civil message board, at least in the relations between users. We reserve the right to remove postings, or even ban postings, from anyone who crosses the boundary of reasonable taste. Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

But the main requirement here is: have fun.

Quiller´s Mint - The Treehouse

The old jester Mazourii enters the treehouse and begins to juggle with his balls.

Throws an ice-cream into the juggler's mix.
Probably a cone.

Re: Quiller´s Mint - The Treehouse

Can I ask a favor?  I'd like to keep it to one main Quiller's Mint topic (which is where people seem to role-play) and one "Quiller's Mint -- the (Whatever)", which I call "back room" topics, open at a time.

The particular reason is that the Quiller's Mint topics, especially whatever the official back room is at any moment, tend to be the place people go when they want to find out if anyone's on the board AT THAT MOMENT.  Thus, if there are too many QM topics open, it dilutes that effect.

I'd be happy to leave this topic here until we run through the current one ("QM -- the Unstocked Larder" or whatever it is) at which point this can become the active back room topic, but I'd prefer not to have too many QM topics going at once.

Just trying to make the board easy to navigate for newcomers...

Re: Quiller´s Mint - The Treehouse

I understand - only somehow I can't always keep from role playing even on the not role playing threads, I'm just not wearing a weird body or outrageously fake name (I sign messages with my real one; does that make me an exhibitionist?) I think that's a fair rule Tad.

Re: Quiller´s Mint - The Treehouse

Think the whole roleplaying thing has pretty much died.
Less you count the random spawning dragon / porcupine / kianor (not sure if that is roleplaying...) appearances on t'other thread.

Ooh, who put the paper lanterns up outside already? They're beautiful!

*notes the go-go cages*

Ah, good, the deliverers brought them. I wasn't sure they'd come in time.

~realizes that, at two in the morning there is no possible way she can keep her eyes open~

~grudgingly unfolds herself and stretches out to her full length, overhanging all corners of the treehouse roof~

g'night, everybody! 'll see you all at some point tomorrow...

Gigi, what do you think? I mean, the go-go boots and miniskirt are a given, but which top??

I can't decide.

By the way, you look smashing, as always.

Re: Quiller´s Mint - The Treehouse

Well, people would like to go to bed now, so I should probably get off the computer and leave.  So I'll talk to you guys later.

*waves, forgetting about lemonade in her hand, and sloshes it all over her arm*

Oops.  I guess I'm a bit tired, too.  Oh well...

*Scuttles out of room with a sheepish look on her face*
