Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'
-    Kurt Vonnegut, 1922-2007

Welcome to the message board for tadwilliams.com. All comments are welcome, whether kudos or brickbats. However, please bear in mind that Tad would like this to be a friendly, civil message board, at least in the relations between users. We reserve the right to remove postings, or even ban postings, from anyone who crosses the boundary of reasonable taste. Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

But the main requirement here is: have fun.

Re: QM - Mab's Experimental Punch Bowl

Now I'm out of potting compost again. Guess that means I must start cleaning.

Re: QM - Mab's Experimental Punch Bowl

Just finished weeding my flower bed and watering it. The flowers are doing very well, but there's a few holes. When we go to the movies, will pick up a few new plans to fill the holes.

Also, since this flower bed is doing so well, thinking of building up another bed under the false magnolia.

Someday will find you.

Re: QM - Mab's Experimental Punch Bowl

Grrr!

Not happy. The idiots who sent my camera to me neglected to send the memory card (without which it can't be used) and gave me a US battery charger.

Which means I can't play with my new shiney! Not fair!

Bleh tired. Visited Ivo's aunt and uncle last night, but we came home way too late. Oh well.

Re: QM - Mab's Experimental Punch Bowl

I have bought more potting compost and two bamboo sticks for the balcony (for the morning glories). Spent ages looking for the wire I need to tie the sticks to the railing.

Re: QM - Mab's Experimental Punch Bowl

Maen Mint!

First day of the week is over again, and somehow I seem to have a bit of energy left. We'll see how long that lasts.
Sunshine and blue sky was my part this morning as I cycled to the train station. I keep being amazed by how totally perfect this spring is being. Right now it's grey and kinda chilly, but predictions are for the temperature to go rise during the week, and hit 20 again for the weekend, so I'm all happy. Should go and see if I can finally visit the one real Japanese Garden of the Netherlands this coming weekend!

Mozilla developer comment of the however long it'll be this time:
<Mossop> run for the hills!
<Boriss> i can't, i'm at a local maximum!

Just Imagine...

Re: QM - Mab's Experimental Punch Bowl

I think I've completed my balcony-work for now. I've finished the bamboo-and-wire construction for the morning glories, and planted the last of the seeds.

Re: QM - Mab's Experimental Punch Bowl

It seems it will be an expensive year ... I need a driving license, it seems we will really go to Sardinia this summer, and I really want to move out of here (might even have to, as I'm not limiting my job-hunt to Linz and the area around it). Ngh.
