Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'
-    Kurt Vonnegut, 1922-2007

Welcome to the message board for tadwilliams.com. All comments are welcome, whether kudos or brickbats. However, please bear in mind that Tad would like this to be a friendly, civil message board, at least in the relations between users. We reserve the right to remove postings, or even ban postings, from anyone who crosses the boundary of reasonable taste. Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

But the main requirement here is: have fun.

Brother visiting is good. Your talk about visiting with your siblings reminded me, that's all. Must plan a game night.

I'm reading "Mistborn" right now. I likes it, alot.

:)

Mistborn is so good- it's become one of my favorite series. i need to order Elantris. and more Patricia McKillip. argh.

i had to wait three months for the paperback of Mistborn 3. but it's my own doing- i didn't want to have a trade or HC standing next to the 2 other small paperbacks;)

McKillip is very good. I don't care about the sizes of books -- I've mixed-up versions, depending on my mood when I buy them.

Re: QM - Mab's Experimental Punch Bowl

i'm weird in that way-sometime i don't care, sometimes i do(also, the price of the hardcover was considerably higher for this one;) )

McKillip is my third "I need to have them ALL!"- author- the first was Pratchett, the second Tad

Tried to put in an "aka," but there's a limit on number of characters.

Next Mint?

Re: QM - Mab's Experimental Punch Bowl

I cannot be tempted to order any books. I have s-o-o-o many in my TBR pile. Also, I need some yarn. I was able to find, locally, almost all the yarn I need for my next project. Enough to start, at least. I have to order the other colors.

I read about that many a year, too, Sisterdew. I've been taking advantage of the library, lately. $$'s been a bit tight.

the libraries here don't have much of what i want(especially not english books), but in the future (two weeks time)i'll bum free books of the publishers (and give most of them away later, just as i've done before and will do soon again- Magpie is SO going to be mad at me)

Hope you do well. I've been downloading pretty much everything off TED.com. That site is awesome.

Well, the code I wrote got the job done, but the Prof might not agree with my approach.

TED looks interesting. I can feel the next few days of spare time sucking around.

Re: QM - Mab's Experimental Punch Bowl

It's fantastic. The one with Adam savage talking about building a dodo skeleton is really good. So is the one on military robotics. ;)

In other news I am amazed at what kind of crap passes as news these days.

News is not to tell people what's going on in the world, it's to entertain.

And to advertise, it seems.

Thank god for the Australian broadcasting commission is all I can say.

Government funded means no ads. No ads means no crap.
