Happened to me at vocational school once (well, my whole group). Didn't matter much - it was a houseplant recognition test, and I'd worked with most of them, so I got a B (I think) with just a few minutes of studying (between finding out we'd have the test and writing it)

I think I'll go take a shower. I'd planned some stuff for today, but I expect we'll rush off to the grandparents as soon as Mama shows up (where IS she?!).

This is driving me crazy. Usually she leaves me a note on the table, or a message on my phone, sometimes both, now - nothing. I can't even find her calendar to check if she has an appointment somewhere. All I can say is she definitely hasn't been home yet (she hadn't brought in the mail yet), and whereever she is, one of my brothers is with her, otherwise he would be home.
And she's still not answering her phone.
