Tad Williams' Message Board

Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- 'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'

Welcome to the message board for tadwilliams.com. All comments are welcome, whether kudos or brickbats. However, please bear in mind that Tad would like this to be a friendly, civil message board, at least in the relations between users. We reserve the right to remove postings, or even ban postings, from anyone who crosses the boundary of reasonable taste. Basically, you can argue vigorously with someone, but watch your language, okay? We have a lot of young readers as well as grown-ups, so please show them some respect.

But the main requirement here is: have fun.

Re: QM - an underground lair where....

I'm working. Slaving away, actually. But, hey, it pays the bills.

Husband and youngest are in Florida for a few days. I understand he got her to put a dress! *grins* Or maybe it was Grandma that shamed her into it!

I's got the house all to myself. Well, except for the other daughter, two cats, one bird and a fish.

Someday will find you.

Re: QM - an underground lair where....

sometimes its good to have  a bit more quiet time at home hu?
I´m looking sooo forward staying at my parents house having my room just for me no one else, and because it is a HOUSE not  a freaking small flat. I can listen to music really loud (dancing and siniging included, not looking or sounding good but funfunfun!).
Of course I ´m also really looking forward to see my parents for some days, since I havent seen them much lately but I also desperatly need some time alone screaming/singing of all the stress  ;-P, wouldnt survive all the x-mas visting-everyone-thingie without that.

Edit:
tired and bored... cant concentrate on books too late for loud music, no fun with my current Games right now...what do i dooooo now?

'llo Sahi.

BTW,  a calculator button on a keyboard is not weird, it's the greatest invention since the space bar!

Other than the volume control keys, it's the only extra key I ever use with any frequency.  So much quicker than Start|Accesories|Calculator

..and then one day you find, ten years have got behind you,
no one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun..

If I was you I'd be munching on vitamin c tablets and eating heaps of garlic like there is no tomorrow!

I haven't been sick in about four years and every time I feel a cold coming on or someone in the house gets one that's what I do. ;) And, in 23 years, I haven't been bitten by a single vampire. *sagenod*

I dont know what that is, and the dictionary doesnt help me but since it hurts you get a big hug.

Its a running injury and it feels like somebody has kicked you in the shin really hard.

It's caused by running on hard surfaces (been running on the road, silly person that I am) and what happens is that if you land hard on your heel, like I do when I run, your foot slaps down onto the ground which rapidly flexes the muscles which raise your ankle/toes. When this happens it triggers a reflex action causing the muscle to contract powerfully and can cause muscle and ligament damage.

Also: wikipedia is great.

Re: QM - an underground lair where....

*flops down*
Christmas holidays yaaaaaaaay! OK, I have to work on Monday and Tuesday, but no school for over two weeks!!!

And Lunar, I totally know that getting-sick-in-the-holidays thing. I believe it's because while I have to work/go to school, I always ignore it if I'm half-ill, and as soon as I have time to relax, my body sort of gets the signal, "now I've got time to be ill."
Which is why I must be really careful about what I do this weekend, give myself time to recover... i really don't want to be ill at Christmas.
