A BRIEF WORLDCON TRAVELOGUE (AND A PERFORMANCE HEADS-UP INVOLVING YRS. TRULY)
So then, I have been to Denver and back, and a fine first time visit it was. It’s a surprisingly small city full of very healthy looking, fit people; even the few street people observed looked less ravaged than their Fogtown equivalent.
And in spite of the Denver Convention Center being as large as two, maybe three city blocks, and that all relevant activities were held on the far end of said facility, Denvention ‘08 was a consummate blast and a half. Did Star Wars End In 1980?
So, apparently, The Clone Wars isn't that good. I've seen some reviews that merrily describe it as a 'stellar flop'. Get it? Playing with the whole star thing? Clever!
So I was wandering around downtown today, listening to Ladytron and thinking about Star Wars, because that's the sort of mad way I spend my Friday afternoons. That, and not walking into the drunks staggering out of the serious drinkin' bars to have a smoke.
